April Focus: Small Shifts, Big Impact

As we settle into spring, it's a great time to check in with how your body feels at work. Whether you're navigating long hours at a desk or moving through a physically demanding job, even small ergonomic adjustments can create meaningful relief. This month, we’re focusing on tools and tips — from choosing the right mouse to giving your wrists a well-deserved stretch — that support comfort and long-term health.

This month, we’re putting the spotlight on ergonomic mice — and how choosing the right one can help reduce strain and boost comfort.

Ergonomic Mice: Which One is Right for You?

If you’ve ever experienced wrist or forearm discomfort at your desk, your mouse might be part of the problem. Traditional mice often put the wrist in an unnatural position, increasing the risk of repetitive strain injuries over time.

The good news? There are several ergonomic alternatives — each designed to support different hand sizes, tasks, and comfort preferences.

👇 Here's a comparison chart of some top ergonomic mice to help you find your best fit:

Quick Tip: Adjust Your Mouse Position

Even the best mouse won’t help if it’s too far away. Keep your mouse close to your keyboard and your elbow at your side. This small adjustment can reduce shoulder and wrist strain significantly

Product Spotlight: Goldtouch Adjustable Keyboard

Looking to improve comfort while typing? The Goldtouch keyboard is a popular choice for people dealing with shoulder tension, wrist discomfort, or carpal tunnel symptoms.

💬 What Users Are Saying:

"This keyboard helped me relieve shoulder and wrist tension within days. Being able to adjust the angle made a huge difference."
– Office worker, Calgary
"I love how compact it is without feeling cramped. I pair it with my vertical mouse and it’s a great combo."
– Remote employee, Edmonton
"It took a couple of days to adjust, but once I did, I couldn’t imagine going back to a flat keyboard."
– Design consultant, Red Deer

The split and tenting design helps your hands rest in a more natural position, reducing ulnar deviation and forearm twisting. If you're using a standard flat keyboard and experiencing discomfort, the Goldtouch might be worth a try.

Ergonomic Stretch of the Month

Long days at the keyboard or using a mouse can leave your wrists and forearms feeling tight. This simple seated stretch helps relieve tension and improve circulation — especially helpful if you're using a new ergonomic mouse or keyboard!

👉 How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall in your chair with feet flat on the floor.
  2. Extend one arm out in front of you, palm facing up.
  3. With your other hand, gently pull your fingers down and back toward the floor until you feel a stretch in your forearm.
  4. Hold for 15–30 seconds. Breathe deeply.
  5. Repeat on the other side.

💡 Tip: Do this once in the morning and once in the afternoon — or any time your wrists need a reset.
